RAILROAD MODELING GAUGES and SCALES

  • GAUGE - the distance between the rails (inside-to-inside!)
  • SCALE - the ratio of the model in direct relationship to it's prototype
  • PROTOTYPE - any item of "real-world" railroad equipment
